Looking for a way to sell ad spots easily? BuySellAds.com offers blogs/websites a true alternative to setting up the selling of ad space on your website easily.

They have several ad sizes to choose from and they handle the transactions, all you need to do is add it to your website and walk away.

The downside of the service is the extremely long wait to get approved. They are currently in beta so thats why it takes so long to be accepted. However, there seems to be a lot of blogs/websites using the service already.

StumbleUpon Alerter - alerts to your desktop

Without question one of the most popular social media services has to be StumbleUpon. Millions of members discovering and sharing links daily.

One of the biggest issues with StumbleUpon can be tracking performance of links, friends, reviews and who has Stumbled your faves.

Enter, StumbleUpon Alerter. This small app downloads to your desktop, alerts you when someone thumbs up a link you discovered, tracks which Stumbler thumbed it up. It also keeps track of which of your friends thumb up your discoveries the most.

Tracks which links performed better, this could be useful for keeping track of campaigns, learning what subject people like on your blog/site and what turns them off.

Currently there seems to be issues with running this on Vista, appears that you need to install it when logged in as Administrator.

Google Chrome

With Google’s ever expanding portfolio, you had to know that eventually they would break into the browser industry. The release of Google Chrome this week has generated plenty of buzz on the internet and most of it good.

The browser is light in weight with very little by way of toolbars and addons. The status bar only appears when needed as well. This browser is much quicker.

The browser currently does not support XML or RSS, but maybe it will eventually.

One of the features that does worry me is the crash protection. Each tab that you open runs as an independent process so if one crashes the others won’t. The problem with this is the amount of memory that could be used if you have several tabs open.

I like the simplicity of the browser, but probably will not be my full-time broswer, I will stick to Firefox for that.

Here’s a site that is definitely not trying to be like other online photo album websites, this one is only for private albums.

shwup is perfect for sharing family photos with friends and family. Only people who you invite to view the album can view it, period.

Not into the family photo experience? You could use this service for many cases, for example, sharing images with a fellow web developer for that next big thing to hit the internet, share sensitive photos with that special someone, you could even just use it to store images for use later, the possibilities are endless.

Got video of a family picnic, wedding, graduation, you can upload those as well. Even if you have a zipped folder of photos/videos, you can upload the zipped folder and shwup will extract it for you, impressive.

Most of the features once you signup for your FREE account are ajax, adding that 2.0 feel.

This is definite must try for everyone.

Heres an online service that makes sharing photos exciting. This service allows you make a slideshow out of your photos and share them with whoever you want, want to add a tune to the slideshow, no problem, they do that too.

The FREE account has limited options, no music and you can only create one slideshow, bummer. However, to get access to all features and create unlimited slideshows, its only $3.79/month, a cheap price to pay for such a fantastic service.
